ORTHODONTICS

Improperly positioned teeth are not only an aesthetic problem – they can endanger your oral and general health. Our team of orthodontists is here to establish harmony between the aesthetics and functionality of your smile together with you.

More than a pretty smile:
  • Prevent complications: Improper tooth position makes cleaning difficult, which eventually leads to caries and periodontal disease.
  • Improve function: Correct bite reduces joint pain and makes chewing easier.
  • Feel confident: A smile you’re proud of can change your life.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When to visit an orthodontist?

If you notice any irregularities, if chewing and normal functioning are difficult, you have pain in the jaw joints, or you have noticed that there is an irregular arrangement of teeth in your child.

Is straightening teeth painful?

There is a slight pressure that lasts for 2-3 days after the placement of the device – this discomfort is reminiscent of muscle inflammation after training.

Will the device be visible?

Invisalign is invisible, and aesthetic fixed braces have teeth-colored brackets.

How long will I wear the straightener?

Most treatments last 12-24 months on average. It is important to follow the orthodontist’s instructions and come for regular check-ups so that the treatment is as effective as possible. It is of great importance that the orthodontist and the patient function as a cohesive team with a common goal.

How to reflect hygiene while wearing a fixed prosthesis?

It is necessary to brush the teeth thoroughly and to use interdental brushes in order to clean all the spaces between the braces. Every 4-6 months, it is mandatory to contact the dentist for a professional cleaning in order to prevent the occurrence of new defects while wearing the prosthesis.

Is it possible to eat with fixed dentures and foils?

While wearing a fixed prosthesis, it is necessary to avoid hard, sticky food because it can damage the device and reduce its effectiveness. If your problem can be solved with foils, you will remove them every time you eat, and then return them to their position.

How often should I come for check-ups if I wear foils?

Foils are changed usually every 4-6 weeks. At check-ups, progress is checked and the treatment plan is adjusted according to needs.
